Early Kentucky mandolin, confirmed by Saga as a 1978-79 build. We’re calling it a ’78, which would be the first year of the Kentucky’s. Made in Japan. This example, s/n 8028 features good woods and appointments and a handsome light burst finish. Maple back has a little birds eye in it.
