– 1954 Fender 5D3 Deluxe Amp Vintage Electric Guitar Amplifier
– This Super Cool Player’s Example, Serial Number 2959, Was Highly Modified by a Presumed Cowboy with a Penchant for Folk Art Influenced Modification Some 60 Years Ago, Whereby the Original Tweed Covering was Replaced with a Smooth Sharkskin Style Vinyl Complemented by a Pollock-Style Paint Drip GrilleCloth. Additionally, the “Riveted” Appearance Vinyl overing Application (Likely Upholstery Tacks) was Made Complete with a Custom-Tooled Leather Handle Outfitted with Rivets
– Electronically, it Appears to Have Been Seriously Serviced/Repaired in Early-1963. At Which Point, the Output Transformer AND Speaker were Replaced with the Modern Day Equivalent. Resultantly, the Amp Now Sounds a Bit More Efficient and Present, with Less Sag and Saturation
– The Original Power Transformer (Stamped 6452) Remains Installed, While the Previous Output Transformer from ’62 is No Longer Installed
– It Has Been Completely Re-Capped, with All Original Caps Being Included
