We just got this amp in. We bought a small collection of guitars from a guy out of San Diego. At first, I did not want the amp. I figure Ampegs are great amps, but not in need of one. Well, I take it anyways. All my amps are service before they go up for sale. PLEASE, do not attempt to take at chassis out of and amp of this type. You have to be a magician. Pots and sockets cleaned only. Low and behold when I first fired this amp up, I was simply horrified. What I heard come out of the amp was unheard of…! I have to say it, it’s one of my top 5 in the world of tone. Secondly, try in God’s name to try and find one. I’ve looked for days. The amp is crazy. You will not hear or see anything like it…!!! A true collector piece.
