This 1973 Stratocaster is a player grade vintage guitar with great components added through the years – not for the purists.
The guitar just got a professional setup and is ready to be played! The back of the neck is really smooth and is comparable to a heavy relic neck from the Custom Shop. The rosewood fretboard doesn’t show any sign of wear. The neck had a professional refret and the frets are in amazing condition. The body and neck have a few dings here and there but it is expected considering its 50 years of age and that it was gigged.
If you like conversation starters, this Stratocaster is definitely a great prologue!

The great stuff
– The rosewood neck is from 1973 (Stamped 09 01 3935 standing for Stratocaster, Rosewood, 39th week, 1973, Friday).
– There is no visible date or signature on the body but both the body and neck share the same finish checking pattern (vertical lines when held in playing position) and color fade.
– The bridge part number is 010347 which matches a 70’s bridge.
The good stuff
– The pickups are Custom Shop ’69 (neck: 5.30k, middle: 5.42k, bridge: 5.43k).
– The pots are CTS 250k.
– The F-stamped tuners are OEM replacement parts.
– 5-way switch.
– The pickup covers, knobs, switch tip and tremolo arm share the same faded white color.
– The 3-ply white/black/white pickguard and backplate are brand new.
– The 3-ply black/white/black pickguard and backplate are replacement parts with minor wear.
– The case is an older non-Fender branded case with aged hardware (made in Canada).
The questionable stuff
– A previous owner decided to convert the 3-bolt neck to a 4-bolt neck, which means that there are extra holes in the body and the neck.
– There is one visible hole under the low E string tuner from previous tuners (maybe some Schaller M6) and the outline of larger washers is visible on top.
