This is
a 1984 Yamaha Japan SG2000s in Cherry Sunburst.
These 80s Yamaha SGs are amazing guitars for the money. They have been used by lots of the big players over the years.
The Yamaha Japan stuff is very well made. High quality Japanese craftsmanship as expected.
This one has had lots of use over the years so there’s a fair bit of wear on it as shown.
The top seems to be in great condition. Some surface scratches as expected and a small ding or 2.
The back and sides have lots of marks, dings and wear as expected being from the 80s.
There are a fair few marks on the back of the neck and a laquer line at the head stock join. Seems to be cosmetic.
The gold hardware has lots of tarnishing especially on the tuners.
There are some nicks on the top of the headstock too.
Comes with the original pickups, coil splits in the Tone pots.

Weight and neck size TBC.
Non original hardcase with foam cut to shape.
A bit of fretwear on the first 5 frets but nothing needing attention.
