Up for sale, a 2021 Martin 000C12-16 nylon string acoustic electric guitar in showroom-clean condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original padded softshell case and hangtags. Tonewoods include an A-frame X-braced solid Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, mahogany neck, and ebony fingerboard. This Martin is designed for optimal playability, especially for players transitioning from steel string acoustic instruments, with a 1 7/8“ nut width and a cutaway for exceptional upper fret access. The Fishman Matrix VT Enhance NT1 electronics ensure onstage readiness and versatility.

This Martin has a sweet, singing response; the spruce top has great projection, and the mahogany back and sides ensure great lower-midrange breathiness and harmonic complexity, balanced by the glassy articulation of the ebony fretboard. String-to-string balance is ideal, and the Fishman pickup faithfully captures the natural sound of the instrument. The mahogany neck has a medium depth C-shaped profile carve with well-rounded shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .850” deep at the 1st fret and .940” at the 9th. The slab ebony fingerboard has flawless slender fretwire, playing cleanly up the 26.44” scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod. The Tusq nut measures 1 7/8“ in width, offering optimal comfort for fingerstyle players and a slightly narrower width than the majority of classical guitars (a 2″ nut width is standard for classical playing). On the headstock, the gold-plated strip tuning machines turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch.

On the body, the ebony bridge is fitted with a tall bone saddle, and the Fishman Matrix VT Enhance NT1 electronics all function as intended, powered by a 9V battery easily accessed beneath the 1/4″ endpin. The preamp controls comprise a series of thumbwheels discreetly located inside the soundhole; the Volume and Tone thumbwheels are on the bass side of the soundhole, and the Enhance wheel is on the treble side. The Tone control has a unique Flat to Scooped function, scooping the midrange for feedback mitigation at higher volumes. The Enhance control blends in the Enhance transducer pickup, designed to accentuate user inputs with more dynamic sensitivity and percussive feel.

The spruce top has a gloss finish, highlighting subtle bearclaw figuring, and the mahogany back and sides are satin-finished. This guitar has nary a scratch on the body, and the smooth satin finish on the neck profile is similarly immaculate.

The original Martin-branded padded softshell case is included, along with the factory paperwork.
