Deering Golden Era Banjo (Raleigh, NC)

LONG LIVE SCRUGGS!! Here we have one of the most beautiful resonator banjos i have ever seen and been privileged to play. This is a handmade Deering Golden Era 5 String Resonator Banjo. These banjos are only made to order, so the wait time on them is rather large. This is a 2007 model, that has barely been played. It still has the original head on with no signs of wear. The Golden Era are modeled after the 1930’s classic bluegrass banjos of the day and are pretty true in both style(seen in the vintage style hearts & flowers inlay) and sound. You wont find too many options for a bluegrass style banjo outside of custom work for this look and quality. It is designed to produce the most sought-after sound, a sound previously only achieved by five-string banjos of the pre-war era. This beautiful banjo has a Genuine Deering -06- 20-hole bell bronze tone ring. The drum assembly and neck shape are designed for the traditional crisp and strong bass notes as well as the distinct clear high tones of the cherished bluegrass sound. This thing has a nice sharp punch to it and will ring for days, making it a must have for any serious session or jamming bluegrass group or solo. Now some specs!
