According to the ESP decode website, this is a 1998 ESP Horizon, 6 string electric guitar. Updated script logo on the headstock, but old logo on the back of the headstock. Dual humbucker, hard tail, three on a side tuners. Volume, tone and five way selector switch. Transparent purple with natural body binding strip. 24 frets with dot inlay. Chrome hardware. i *believe* the fingerboard to be rosewood. I *think* the neck is maple. I do not know what the body is, either Ash or Alder according to the 1997 catalog.
This guitar is almost factory new. except for the dust and my fingerprints, the body is absolutely immaculate except for the surface finish split by the control cavity. The only ding I can find is on the neck at about the 5th fret. See pictures.
I can’t find a ton of details about this guitar. It matches the product on page 8 of the 1997 catalog.
Item ships with ESP branded gig bag.
EDIT::
I appreciate the interest, everyone. Yes, it looks like the LTD in the 1998 catalog, but it isn’t. I dont know if this is an actual “make and model” 97 that just got a “by the numbers” 98 heelplate. Its within the first 600 manufactured for the year if that is to be believed. I dont know. Ask ESP. Not sure why that would be relevant anyway. I can take the neck off the body to assuage your fears, but I will raise the price by 300 for the effort.
