Up for sale is my 2018 SG Jr with limited edition pre-war script logo and “Only A Gibson Is Good Enough” banner on the back of the headstock. My understanding is that Gibson only produced 500 of these. Limited run only produced for one year. I have only had it for 6 months. It has been gigged about 5 times. Beautiful, resonant guitar.
It is in excellent condition. Frets have very little wear. No dings on the body or neck. Little handling/play wear. Just some light pickguard scratches. I LOVE this guitar! The neck is a hair fatter and flatter than my LP 1960 Classic. No binding, it is super comfortable and fast. Like a typical SG it tends to lean outward from the body a bit.
If it’s so great why am I selling it?? Simply put, I don’t collect guitars. I buy them to use them. This one filled a need, but that need changed and so I will use the proceeds to pay off the one I got to replace it. It has linear taper pots for that smooth volume reduction. It cleans up really fast and the pup is super responsive. It can play really cleanly and can grown and scream like only a P-90 can. I will miss it, but I’m glad I got to play it!
